New Delhi: Bowling legend Wasim Akram, who’s currently in Australia for commentary duties, is making the headlines for an odd reason. Akram, who is widely regarded as one of the best fast bowlers of all-time, recently shared a story about a hefty expense he made for his cat’s haircut in Australia. Akram is currently commentating in the ongoing ODI series between Pakistan and Australia.
While performing his duties, the legendary bowler revealed that the bill was so high that it could have easily bought a new iPhone. This left his fellow commentators in shock and disbelief as he said that the total cost for the procedure came to a whopping 1000 Australian dollars, a sum that roughly translates to Rs 56000 Indian rupees and 1,85,000 Pakistan rupees. This money is enough to buy a new IPhone.
Akram taken aback by the bill
The former Pakistan cricketer said that he was literally taken aback by the bill, which was much more from what he had expected for a cat’s haircut. He further shared that the grooming session involved a series of medical procedures, including anesthesia and a post-procedure care package. He jokingly added, “With this kind of money, you could probably get 200 cats groomed in Pakistan.”
