New Delhi: The Argentine wingback for FC Cincinnati scored his second spectacular goal of 2024 from beyond midfield, beating CF Montréal goalie Jonathan Sirois with a dead ball shot from deep within his own half of the field. Orellano’s second goal in Saturday night’s 4-1 victory over Cincinnati came in the 57th minute after a deflected free kick that found its way into the net only four minutes earlier.
It was also his most recent season-long masterwork from a distance. In the Orange & Blue’s 4-3 victory over the Philadelphia Union in July, Orellano scored a long-range rocket past Oliver Semmle to win AT&T Goal of the Matchday for Matchday 21. If not Goal of the Year, he will undoubtedly be vying for Matchday 30’s Goal of the Matchday award.
It turned out to be a wonderful result for Cincinnati and the Argentine is making quite a reputation of scoring absolute bangers in the MLS and he has also been i na wonderful form. The 23 year old wing back has already scored seven times this camapaign while also providing four assists. He is an integral part of this Cincinnati side as they sit second in the table. Despite a few consecutive losses, they still sit sterady behind Inter Miami.
