Shami, SRH aiming to spoil LSG’s party
Meanwhile, Shami will look to find some form to sign off on a high as SRH, who are already out of the playoffs race, will look to spoil LSG’s party.
Rishabh Pant’s team’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread after a wretched run has all but ended their chances of progression. Languishing at the seventh spot, LSG will aim to win their remaining three league matches, starting with the clash against the Sunrisers on Monday at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
The Super Giants have an outside chance of reaching the last-four if they can accumulate 16 points with three massive wins.
Even if LSG manage to win the last three games, their poor net run-rate -0.469 will be a big hurdle.
Pant’s personal form will also be in the spotlight. With 128 runs from 11 games, Pant has endured a horror season since his record Rs 27 crore bidding at the IPL auctions last year.
New Zealand seamer William O’ Rourke has come in place of Mayank Yadav, who is out injured for an indefinite period.
