WATCH: Ravi Ashwin dries team jersey near boundary ropes after IND vs BAN Day 2

New Delhi: Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has been getting all the attention at his home venue, M.A Chidambaram Stadium, in Chennai during the ongoing first Test match between India and Bangladesh. Ashwin notched up his career’s sixth Test hundred to dug out India from a muddle when the hosts were reeling at 144 for 6.

Ashwin made 113 runs from 133 balls with the assistance of 11 boundaries and two sixes. He was involved in a crucial 199-run  stand with fellow all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja (86) to revive the Indian innings. As a result, the Rohit Sharma-led side ended up posting 376 in the first innings.

The fans haven’t left their eyes from Ashwin, who recently turned 38. In a recent video circulated on social media platform X, a user captured the local lad drying his team uniform in the backyard of the outfield after the gameplay of the second day. Apart from his shirt and pant, the star Indian all-rounder kept his other equipment like gloves and pads to dry.

While Ashwin was putting his team uniform on the floor, a fan was heard saying him to open the innings. Although the Indian player didn’t respond to the hilarious request, a brief wave was all he did on his way back to the dressing room.
