New Delhi: As part of a team bonding exercise, star batter Sanju Samson and India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar engaged in a fun session ahead of the much-anticipated white-ball series against England. India will take on the Three Lions in a five-match T20I series before locking horns in a three-ODI series. The action starts with the first T20I at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on January 22, Wednesday.
But before the intense and exhilarating action, the Indian team shared some light moments with Samson and Nayar caught by the cameras singing the iconic 90’s song ‘Pehla Nasha’ from the movie ‘Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar’.
In the video, Samson is seen holding the smartphone and reading the lyrics, while Nayar is holding the mic and singing his heart out without even looking at the lyrics.
The video went viral soon after it was shared online and has garnered over a hundred thousand views.

Samson at the centre of a controversy
Soon after the announcement of India’s Champions Trophy squad, which didn’t have Samson’s name, social media users slammed the BCCI for snubbing the Kerala star. The possible reason for Samson’s exclusion from the marquee event was his absence from the recently-concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy for his state team.
However, KCA President Jayesh George slammed the batter for not attending training camps and said that he cannot decide to ‘play for Kerala whenever he likes’.
India’s squads for England series and the Champions Trophy were announced by Test and ODI skipper Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar in a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday.
