New Delhi: Fans in large numbers thronged Mumbai roads as Team India finally began their open bus victory parade after hours of delay on Thursday evening. After an ocean of cricket fans greeted the World champions at the Mumbai airport, Rohit Sharma and his men finally navigated through the city traffic to reach Nariman point where the parade began in a bus, painted all blue.
Meanwhile, the star performer of the summit clash Virat Kohli raised the coveted World Cup trophy towards the fans as Mumbai roads were jam-packed on a beautiful evening in the city. The open bus is scheduled to take then victorious Indian team to the Wankhede stadium, covering a journey of roughly 10 kilometers, where the heroes will be facilitated again.

An elated Kohli was also seen kissing the World Cup trophy, while raising it in the air, along with his other teammates. Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and BCCI secretary Jay Shah can also be seen in the video smiling and waving their hands towards the crowd with the Indian flag on their shoulders.
In another video which surfaced online, Kohli can be seen waving towards the fans and clicking a video from his mobile phone, with Shah by his side.

Meanwhile, upon arrival at the Mumbai airport, the plane carrying the Indian cricket team was greeted with a water salute and a beautiful victory parade which was organised by the Mumbai airport authorities. After the victory parade culminates, the victorious Team India will be felicitated at the iconic Wankhede stadium which will mark the culmination of the event.
