Kohli’s topsy-turvy T20 World Cup campaign

Kohli endured a topsy-turvy campaign for India in the T20 World Cup 2024. Playing the tournament as an opener, the senior India batter struggled for consistency and managed only 75 runs in the first 8 matches for India before bouncing back in the final. The senior batter had saved his last for the summit clash as he produced a crucial knock of 76 runs in the all-important clash.

India were left in a spot of bother at 34/3 in the final before Kohli resurrected India’s innings with his first half-century in the tournament. His 76 propelled India to a fighting total of 176 runs and helped them register a nail-biting win by 7 runs. Kohli finished the tournament with 151 runs in 9 matches.
