Why Kerala-Born Rinson Jose is Under Scanner for Lebanon Pager Blasts

New Delhi: The investigation into the Lebanon pager explosions has revealed a connection of a Kerala-born man with the blasts that left 12 people dead and thousands injured. The company owned by Rinson Jose, a Malayali holding a Norwegian citizenship, has come under scanner due to its alleged financial transactions related to the purchase of pagers.

However, authorities have emphasize on the need for more information before establishing a direct link between Jose and the explosion. Jose’s disappearance after the Hezbollah strikes have raised suspicions about his alleged role in the blasts, according to an English daily. Kerala Intelligence and police are awaiting an official confirmation or data regarding Jose’s direct involvement before initiating an investigation.

Who is Rinson Jose? 

Hailing from Kerala ‘s Wayanad, Jose has a twin brother Jinson and a sister. All of them are settled abroad. As per sources, his family, had no clue whether Jose owned a company.

His one sibling is settled in Ireland while much information is not available about his other sibling. His father works as a tailor.

According to a local counsellor, Jacob, police have collected a preliminary report from Jose’s family. It is learnt that Jose had last visited his Kerala home in Nov 2023 and left in january.
