New Delhi: Legendary boxer Mike Tyson suffered a shock loss in the much-publicised bout against Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday. The Netflix event garnered huge fanfare ahead of the blockbuster bout and the fans were left wanting for more after the eight-round bout.
While the fans were left disappointed after Netflix crashed ahead of the event, things got back on track once the fight started.
Tyson, 58, was visibly slow in reacting against his much younger opponent. In the end, Paul ran out as a comfortable winner, clinching the bout after a unanimous decision in an eight-round fight. The win extended Paul’s record to 11-1 1 as Tyson suffered only his seventh defeat in his 59th professional bout.
Paul beat Tyson via unanimous decision as the judges scored the bout 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73 in favour of the former YouTuber.
Following the loss, Tyson was asked if he would return to the ring and the iconic boxer replied, “I don’t know, it depends on the situation.”

“I don’t think so”: Tyson not ruling out return to ring
The interviewer then asked Tyson about his gut feeling and he said: “I don’t think so.” Tyson’s comments clearly indicated that the ‘baddest man on the planet” is not ready to retire yet. Tyson, who returned to the ring for the first time since 2005, is regarded as the most ferocious boxer to step into the ring,
The Tyson vs Paul fight was scheduled for June but was postponed after the veteran boxer was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer.
Ringside with his brother Jake, Logan Paul, who has a huge social media, shouted “I would kill you, Mike,” after a comment about a possible bout with the legendary boxer.
Tyson responded, “It is on then.”
