New Delhi: The England cricket team got the better of Bangladesh as they claimed a maiden win in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, defeating them by 21 runs in their campaign opener at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Bangladesh although decided to fight back during the run chase but fell short of the target to take the first blow of the tournament and failed to continue the winning run, having won their opener.
