Among those wrestlers, a famous Hall of Famer has recently made controversial remarks about Vince McMahon which led to a huge criticism and backlash by the fans on social media who took it in a different context. Now, the WWE Hall of Famer has decided to break the silence and clarify the matter.
‘I meant for it to be a joke’: WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle
During an interview with Inside The Ropes, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle got fans’ attention when he called his former WWE Boss “crazy” and also made a joke about him saying that “he’s going to hell when he dies” which came as a big shock for fans.
He noticed that a lot of backlash came his way after the remark and took to his X account to clarify the situation that his comments regarding Vince McMahon were taken completely out of context. He also slammed news outlets who reported his comments in the wrong manner. Angle also said that he complimented Vince on his business mind and the incredible work ethic.
“To everyone seeing this, I meant for it to be a joke. I don’t know why wrestle ops or whoever came up with this quote made it look serious. It was a JOKE. I actually complimented Vince on his business mind and incredible work ethic but I guess they decided to leave that out. Of course they did” Kurt Angle wrote on X.
