New Delhi: After claiming that Team India captain Rohit Sharma copied his iconic strut, WWE legend Ric Flair on Tuesday posted a collab video on Instagram. In the video, the WWE Hall of Famer can be seen doing his iconic strut which was merged with a video of Rohit’s iconic trophy walk in the T20 World Cup 2024 final. India won the elusive trophy after beating South Africa by 7 runs in the summit clash.
Rohit was seen doing a walk while collecting the trophy which appeared similar to Ric Flair’s strut. The WWE legend had made the strut famous during his wrestling career. He used to do it while arriving in the ring for his fights. Many noticed similarities between the two celebrations when Rohit did his walk while collecting the trophy.
Sharing a video of Rohit’s walk with his strut on Instagram, Flair wrote – “The Worldwide Sensation! WOOOOO.”
It was a thrilling final between India and South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados which saw the Men in Blue clinch a close 7-run win. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya were the heroes with the ball as they helped India successfully defend the total of 176 runs with 5 wickets between them. While Bumrah bowled two exceptional overs in the death, Hardik defended 16 runs for India comfortably in the 20th over.
