New Delhi: Indian spin bowler Varun Chakravarthy has been named as a replacement for opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Tuesday (February 11).
As all the participating teams were required to finalise their squads and submit them to the International Cricket Council on February 11, the BCCI’s men’s selection committee has finalised the 15-member squad with a couple of changes made from the provisional squad named on January 18.
“Team India have also named Varun Chakaravarthy in the squad. The spinner will replace Yashasvi Jaiswal who was initially named in the provisional squad,” BCCI stated in its media release.
