Washington: Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris faced hecklers from Donald Trump supporters during her rally in Wisconsin but she swiftly silenced them by quipping, “You are at the wrong rally, go to the smaller one down the street,” which drew loud applause from the crowd.
Trump took a dig at Harris and said that the size of his rallies are larger and that Harris pays people to join her rallies. Harris’s replay was an aimed dig at such comments.
However, reactions on social media were mixed. One user on social media platform X praised her, saying, “That’s MY POTUS,” while another accused her of staging the disruption, claiming, “We know she set that up. It was fake. She’s not a good actress!”
At another point in the rally, ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) supporters interrupted her with chants of “You lie!” Unfazed, Harris paused briefly before responding, “Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally!” The audience erupted in applause and laughter.
Polling in Wisconsin remains tight, with Donald Trump holding a razor-thin lead over Harris, leading by less than one percentage point, according to the latest averages from Decision Desk HQ and The Hill.
