New Delhi: Pakistan pacer Mohammad Hasnain set the stage on fire with a sensational over for his team Panthers in their clash against Mohammad Rizwan-led Markhors in Pakistan’s ongoing Champions Cup on Tuesday. Hasnain produced a double-wicket maiden over to single-handedly rattle the Markhors’ top order and got his team off to an amazing start with the ball.
Markhors won the toss and elected to bat first against the Panthers in Faisalabad. However, they didn’t get off to the kind of start they would have expected thanks to a stunning over from Hasnain. After Ali Raza drew the first blood for the Panthers by dismissing Markhors opener Haseebullah Khan cheaply on a duck in the 2nd over, Hasnain ran riot in the 3rd over.
The fast bowler dismissed Markhors opener Kamran Ghulam and skipper Rizwan on consecutive deliveries while conceding no runs in the over. The right-arm pacer started with a dot ball to Kamran before trapping him lbw. He then got rid of Rizwan on the next delivery as the right-hander edged it to the keeper trying to go after an outside off delivery from the pacer.
Hasnain didn’t stop there and bowled an excellent delivery to new batter Salman Agha but ended up missing out on a hat-trick. Nonetheless, he still managed to produce an exceptional over with two wickets and no runs coming from it.

Hasnain continued his impressive show in the game as he went on to dismiss the dangerous Fakhar Zaman cheaply on just 11 runs in the 7th over to reduce Markhors to tatters at 4/25. Hasnain finished with excellent figures of 3/25 off his 9 overs at an economy rate of 2.77 as the Panthers managed to skittle out Markhors for a paltry 137 runs in 36 overs.
