New Delhi: A proud Sachin Tendulkar shared a special message for his daughter Sara on Wednesday and congratulated her for joining his non-profit organisation Sachin Tendulkar Foundation as the director. The iconic cricketer, who holds the record for scoring most runs in Test and ODI cricket shared the information on X (formerly Twitter) and confirmed the news of Sara’s appointment.
Born in 1997, Sara holds a master’s degree in clinical and public health nutrition from University College London. She turned 27 on October 12, 2024.

Sara Tendulkar’s new role at the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation
Sara has a massive fan following on social media. She joins a noble cause by combining hands with her father’s foundation, which takes care of well-being and healthcare for children born with cleft lip and palate impairments.
The whole Tendulkar family celebrated Diwali this year with the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation team.
The Indian cricket legend and his wife, Anjali Tendulkar, a paediatrician and philanthropist, founded the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation in September 2019. The non-profit organisation works extensively towards providing better opportunities for children. Anjali is also a director at the NGO.
While Sara has joined hands with her father and mother’s non-profit project, Sachin’s son Arjun, like his father, plays professional cricket. The 25-year-old all-rounder represents Goa in domestic cricket. Arjun matched his father’s feat of scoring a century on his Ranji Trophy debut.
The left-handed batter scored 120 runs off 207 balls for Goa against Rajasthan in a Ranji Trophy 2022-23 match in Porvorim. Batting at number seven, Arjun hit 16 fours and two sixes during his superb knock.
Arjun, whose main trait is fast bowling was sold to Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2025 mega-auction. He made his IPL debut MI at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in an IPL 2023 match against Kolkata Knight Riders.
