New Delhi: Tamil Thalaivas defeated Gujarat Giants with a score line of 40-27 at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune on December 6, Friday. With this win, Thalaivas stayed alive in the tournament. They dominated the Giants in the match and improved their points difference in the tournament.
Thalaivas are still in ninth position in the points table with 38 points in 16 matches. Moein Shafaghi made a super 10 against the Giants and helped his side to win an important match. While Giants are in the second-last position in the points table and are almost out of the playoffs race.

In the second match of the night, Haryana Steelers showed great resilience against Patna Pirates as they defeated them with a score line of 42-35. Steelers strengthened their lead at the top of the table with 67 points in 17 matches.
Pirates took one point from the game and are still in third position with 53 points in 16 matches. It was a great hard-fought match as many emotions were seen on the ground. Haryana’s coach Manpreet Singh received one green card and one yellow card in the match. Pirates coach also received one green card in the match.
Mohammadreza Shadloui made a High-5 in the match and Shivam Patare scored a Super 10 against Pirates. For Pirates, Devank scored 13 points but other than him no one gave support to him against Steelers defence.
