New Delhi: The Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction 2025 is the third edition aimed at preparing the final squads for the third season of India’s premier T20 franchise competition for women cricketers. There are only 19 slots available among all five teams with 124 players have registered for the auction.
On November 7 this year, the five teams submitted their choice of retained players with a total of 71 players, including 25 overseas players were retained by all the existing franchises. The purse value of each team for the WPL 2025 auction is INR 15 crore as compared to the INR 13.50 crore kept during last auction.

Gujarat Giants have the most purse value left moving into the auction with INR 4.4 crore to rope in four more players. UP Warriorz, who can only purchase three players in the auction, has the second best purse at the event with INR 3.9 crore in their bag. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (INR 3.25 crore), Mumbai Indians (INR 2.65 crore), and Delhi Capitals (INR 2.5 crore) have the respective budget for the auction.
Some of the players who will be the star attraction at the WPL auction can be England skipper Heather Knight, West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin, Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana, England pacer Lauren Bell, South Africa all-rounder Nadine de Klerk, Indian spinner Poonam Yadav, uncapped Indian players Tanisha Singh and Pratika Rawal.
