New Delhi: India posted their highest total in women’s ODIs in the third 50-over match against Ireland, scoring 435/5, with openers Pratika Rawal and skipper Smriti Mandhana scoring sparkling centuries at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Sunday.
India bettered the 370/5 they achieved in the second game of the series, with Pratika scoring 154 off 129 balls with 20 boundaries and a six while Smriti cracked 135 off 80 deliveries, including 12 fours and seven sixes.

Pratika and Smriti put together 233 runs for the opening wicket, after which Richa Ghosh hit a 42-ball 59, including 10 fours and a six.
It was the first time India had touched the 400-run mark in the women’s 50-over game, posting the fourth highest score ever, behind New Zealand’s 491/4, 455/5 and 440/3 against Ireland, Pakistan and Ireland, respectively.

India’s third highest score is also against Ireland at 358/2 in 2017, having also scored 358/5 against the West Indies at Baroda in December 2024.
It was the sixth time that a women’s team has reached the 400-run mark in ODIs. It is the highest score acros genders on ODIs, bettering the men’s team’s 418 vs West Indies in 2011.

Smriti broke Harmanpreet Kaur’s record for the fastest ton an Indian in women’s ODIs, reaching triple figures off 70 balls in the final ODI of a three-match series.
She took 17 balls less than Harmanpreet’s knock against South Africa in Bengaluru last year, which was the mark set in 2017. It was Smriti’s 10th ODI century, becoming the fourth player with 10 or more tons in the 50-over format.
