New Delhi: Novak Djokovic continued his bid for a record-extending 25th Grand Slam with a straight-sets victory over Tomas Machac in the third round. The seventh-seed Serbian overcame medical issues to claim a 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 win over his 26th-seed Czech opponent.
Djokovic was seen clutching at his stomach in the second set and was doubled over several times in the second game of the second set which lasted 12 minutes which Tomas Machac held. Following the game, he was assessed by the doctor courtside who assisted him with an asthma puffer and some medication.
