Thiruvananthapuram: The heat on Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) is very much on as Sanju Samson’s father Vishwanath accusing the Kerala Cricket Association of ‘plotting conspiracy’ against his son in the wake of the India batter being omitted from the Vijay Hazare trophy.

Samson was left out of the squad after it was revealed that he did not attend a mandatory camp; however, as the days progressed, things took a dramatic turn, with cracks between Samson and the KCA coming to the fore and Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu cricket board’s reaching out to Sanju to join them leaving room for speculation that Sanju is leaving the Kerala squad.

“I believe there is a conspiracy working against my son where few senior officials of the KCA are involved”, said Sanju’s father Vishwanath.

After Samson was excluded from India’s ODI squad for the three-match series against England and the Champions Trophy, KCA President Jayesh George criticised the batter, claiming he had only himself to blame after withdrawing from the camp.

India wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson’s father Samson Vishwanath gets emotional while talking about Kerala Cricket Association’s (KCA) ties with his son ahead of Champions Trophy 2025. Samson’s father alleged that his son Sanju is not safe with KCA.

Samson is currently part of Suryakumar-Yadav-led India’s T20I squad for the five T20I series scheduled to start from January 22. The wicketkeeper batter is in Kolkata where India will play the first T20I at Eden Gardens.
