New Delhi: After winning the Royal Rumble 2025, Jey Uso created suspense in the WWE, but now finally, he announced his opponent in the WrestleMania 41. Jey had a great 2024 and stretched his momentum into 2025 and won the first premium live event of 2025.
After winning the Royal Rumble 2025, Jey was seen on both brands RAW and Smackdown and confronted both WWE champions. WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes met Jey in the previous Smackdown episode.
In the WWE RAW episode, WWE Heavyweight champion Gunther attacked Jey from behind at the start of the episode. Gunther beat the hell out of Jey and WWE officials had to intervene in the brawl to stop Gunther.
After being beaten by Gunther, Jey grabbed the microphone and announced he would challenge Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41. With Jey’s announcement, the first match of WrestleMania was confirmed for Las Vegas.

WWE World Heavyweight champion Gunther has an upper hand against Jey in a head-to-head record. Both wrestlers collided last year for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and Gunther emerged as winner against him.
After the first match, Jey and Gunther again faced each other in a WWE RAW episode and Gunther again picked up the win over him. Currently, Jey never beaten Gunther in a singles match and now it will be tough for the Royal Rumble winner to chase his dream.
