New Delhi: Mumbai Indians will take on Delhi Capitals in the second game of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Saturday, February 15). Harmanpreet and Co. start the competition as title favourites.
The inaugural WPL champions have a massive pool of talented players with a few explosive additions at the WPL 2025 auction last year. The former champions were knocked out by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in last year’s Eliminator match.
The Delhi Capitals played two consecutive finals but failed to win a trophy. Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Meg Lanning and Co. in the finals of the last two seasons. DC has maintained the team’s core that helped them to qualify for last year’s final, retaining the likes of Shafali Varma and Jemimah Rodrigues. The two-time finalists are also one of the favourites to lift the WPL 2025 trophy.
