New Delhi: Indian pace spreadhead Jasprit Bumrah and veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have maintained top spots in the latest ICC Test rankings released on Wednesday. While Bumrah remains at the top of the charts in the bowling rankings, Jadeja continues to occupy the top position in the all-rounders rankings.
Veteran England batter Joe Root occupies the summit position in the batting charts while Zimbabwe batter Sean Williams and while Bangladesh batter Shadman Islam have gained considerable points in the batting rankings. The biggest gainer in the ICC Test rankings has been Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz who has gained a position to occupy the second spot in the rankings for all-rounders.
Mehidy’s sensational show against Zimbabwe
On back of a remarkable all-round show in the Test series against Zimbabwe, Miraz has attained the second position. The all-rounder scored 116 runs and also claimed 15 wickets in the Test Test matches against Zimbabwe and has been rewarded with a new career-best rating of 327 points and within 73 rating points of number one ranked Jadeja.

His performance was instrumental in the team’s win in the second Test match, with the 27-year-old smashing a century while batting at number 7 and then excelling with the ball with a five-wicket haul on the third and last day. In the bowling charts, Zimbabwe spinner Vincent Masekesa entered the rankings for the first time just outside top 100 after his impressive display on debut.
Meanwhile, star Pakistan batter Babar Azam has slipped out of the top-20 rankings as Pakistan players tumbled in the rankings.
