New Delhi: A heartwarming moment after the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) clash has got the internet going crazy. The 14-year-old batting prodigy captured everyone’s attention with his respectful gesture towards MS Dhoni.

After defeating CSK by six wickets in the final league match of the season, Suryavanshi was seen touching MS Dhoni’s feet. Dhoni, though, took a slight step back and responded with a smile. For many Indian players, touching Dhoni’s feet is not just a cultural gesture, rather a heartfelt tribute to a man who has inspired millions through his calmness, humility and unmatched legacy.

Dhoni’s tip for young cricketers

MS Dhoni is well known for helping other cricketers to grow. Something similar happened on Tuesday night when he gave Suryavanshi a tip he would remember for life. He even advised young cricketers to take less pressure when expectations rise.

He said, “The youngsters should try for consistency, but if you are looking for a 200-plus strike rate, then consistency is hard to get. They have the ability to hit sixes at any stage. Don’t take the pressure when the expectations rise. Learn from senior players and coaching staff, it’s about reading the game. This would be my advice to all the youngsters who have done well.”

Suryavanshi numbers this season

The 14-year-old became the youngest player in the history of the league and has a huge responsibility on his shoulders since the Rajasthan Royals lapped him up at the auction. Not just that, Suryavanshi also created history by hitting the fastest century in IPL history by an Indian. He has been in the spotlight this season, having scored 252 runs at a strike rate of 206.56. Hence, Dhoni’s advice will prove to be very helpful for the youngster in the years to come.
