Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday blamed Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of ‘supporting BJP candidates in several seats’ in Lok Sabha polls.
At a press conference in the city on Wednesday, Revanth Reddy said, “We received 39.5 percent vote in Assembly elections, and 41 percent votes in the Lok Sabha elections. We feel that people are satisfied with the Congress administration and 8 MPs won. We got three seats in 2019 election and now that number has reached 8. BRS lost deposits in seven seats. In those 7 seats, BJP won and was helped by KCR. He worked hard for the victory of BJP leaders by fielding weak candidates from BRS. Siddipet is usually a stronghold of BRS but Harish Rao transferred those votes to BJP in this election.”
Asaduddin Owaisi also made similar remarks saying that BRS supported many BJP candidates in several seats.
However, BRS Spokesperson Krishank Manne said, “KCR garu fielded his confidante against BJP State President. You have all liberty to incline towards those in Government but your allegation of BRS working for BJP is a blatant LIE.”
Revanth Reddy: PM Modi must resign
Speaking about the performance of the BJP and PM Modi, Revanth Reddy said, “Warranty of Modiji’s guarantee has expired. So I demand PM Modi to resign from his chair and save dignity of the PM post.”
Asked about his former mentor Chandrababu Naidu’s win in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, he said that Telangana would continue cordial relations with Andhra Pradesh no matter who form the government.
BRS member and spokesperson Krishank Manne has denied the allegations that the party helped BJP candidates. Telangana States News India: Top News India, States News, States News Headlines, Online State News India, State Politics news
