Three migrant workers from Andhra Pradesh killed in Kuwait fire accident

Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday said that three male migrant workers from the state died in the devastating fire accident in Kuwait.

The three men, who have been identified as Eeswarudu Meesala, Satyanarayana Molleti, Lokanadham Tamada, are from West Godavari district and Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) said.

APNRTS in a press release further stated that they spoke to the families, confirmed information and have details of the relatives who will receive the mortal remains of the three men at the airport.

45 Indians perish in Kuwait fire accident:

The fire accident in a seven-storey building in Mangaf, Ahmadi Governorate, Kuwait, took the lives of 45 Indians and injured 50 others. The blaze started in a kitchen at around 4 am on June 12 and rapidly spread to the rest of the building, where migrant workers were asleep. The fire produced a thick black smoke, leading to suffocation of many individuals, as per Kuwait interior ministry.

The aircraft carrying mortal remains of the 45 Indians is expected to reach Kochin International Airport by 10.30 am. It will land in Kerala first as most of the victims belong to the state and later it will land in Delhi as victims also belong to various North Indian states.

Out of the 45, 23 victims belong to Kerala, seven to Tamil Nadu, three each from AP and UP, two from Odisha, one from Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Jharkhand.
