Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy meets CM Revanth Reddy amid speculation over move to BRS

Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy met CM Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence on Friday, a day after Congress minister Jupally Krishna Rao met Krishnamohan Reddy, Tv9 telugu reported.

MLAs Kavvampally Satyanarayana, Adluri Laxman, Madhusudan Reddy, former MLA Sampath Kumar and others were among those who met the CM.

This comes in the background of speculation that Gadwal MLA returned to the BRS after a short stint in Congress. The MLA met BRS working president KT Rama Rao in the legislative party office on the premises of the Assembly a few days ago, which triggered speculation that he is back in the BRS fold.

On Thursday, Congress Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said that Reddy is still with them and has not returned to BRS.

Amidst this confusion, Krishnamohan Reddy has maintained silence.

BRS MLA exodus:

This also comes amid a wave of defections from BRS into the Congress party in recent times. The lawmakers who defected into Congress are Kadiyam Srihari, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Sanjay Kumar, Tellam Venkat Rao, Kale Yadaiah among others.

It has to be noted that the BRS drew a blank in the recently held Lok Sabh elections, going from 9 seats in 2019 general elections to 0 in 2024 elections. The significant weakening of BRS began after the party lost Telangana Assembly elections in 2023. Many leaders at all levels i.e; MPTCs, ZPTCs, MLAs, MPs have left the party for greener pastures.

Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy joined Congress on July 7 in the presence of Revanth Reddy but he reportedly faced strong opposition from Congress cadre and decided to go back to BRS.  Telangana States News India: Top News India, States News, States News Headlines, Online State News India, State Politics news
