Chennai: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ally in Tamil Nadu – Paatali Makkal Katchi (PMK) to contest by election to Vikravandi Assembly constituency.
“According to the unanimous decision of all the alliance party leaders who are part of the National Democratic Alliance, it is announced that the PMK, which is a member of the National Democratic Alliance, will contest in the Vikravandi Assembly Constituency by-election. All must cooperate for National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s candidate to win in this election,” Annamalai said.

Pugazhenthi who was the DMK MLA of Vikravandi Assembly constituency in Villupuram district, died on April 6 this year due to ill health. Following this, the Election Commission of India announced that the by-election would be held on July 10 after this constituency was declared vacant.
