‘We are just seeing a great version of Bumrah’: Tim Southee
New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee praised Jasprit Bumrah’s comeback and said he’s even better now and understands his game more “To be able to firstly bounce back from the major injury and come back, he’s even better than what he was beforehand. He seems to have been able to do that with ease as well. He’s probably more experienced, understands his game a bit more” Southee said at the Ceat Cricket Rating Award.
He also said that everyone is seeing the best version of Bumrah across all formats and there’s no one better than him “We are just seeing a great version (of Bumrah) across all three formats. He’s brilliant across all three at the moment. I don’t think there’s anyone that he’s better in (better than him), he is tremendous across all three (formats)” Southee added.
As per the reports, Bumrah will miss the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, starting on September 19 and will be back in action during the three-match home Test series against New Zealand. The team management and selectors want the pace bowler to be completely fit and ready for the upcoming five-match Test series against Australia.
