New Delhi: WWE Smackdown’s next episode will air on August 24 in Capital One Centre in Washington, DC. There will be two Championship features in the Smackdown episode. The first title match will be a WWE Tag Team Championship match where Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga will defend their title against The Streets Profits. Fatu and Tonga won the Tag Team titles on the episode of Smackdown before the WWE SummerSlam 2024 event.
They defeated DIY to become the new WWE Tag Team Titles and will set to defend their title for the first time, The Street Profits won the no. 1 contender match in the last episode of Smackdown, it will be a intresting title match for the fans to look ahead in the WWE Smackdown episode.
The second title match will be for United States Championship where LA Knight will defend his title against Santos Escobar. Knight won the US title in the WWE SummerSlam 2024 after defeating Logan Paul. Knight and Escobar both came a long way, in recent months both shifted from WWE NXT to the main roster and now will go head-to-head against each other.
It will be the first title defence for Knight and he wanted to be in form before the WWE Bash in Berlin event. Knight has defeated Escobar cleanly despite the interference of Escobar’s friends Angel and Berto.
Six-woman team match in the WWE Smackdown episode
Naomi with Bianca and Jade to take on Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, and Blair Davenport in a six-woman tag team match, WWE women’s tag team champions Fyre and Dawn will set the tone for their title defence in upcoming WWE event, Their rivalry is heating up against Bianca and Jade and most probably they will challenge them in WWE Bash in Berlin event.
