How many medals have India won at the Paralympics?

New Delhi: The Paris Paralympics 2024 will take centerstage from August 28 till September 8 as a total of 170 nations take part in the Summer Games meant for specially-abled athletes across the world. India will take the field in a bid to return home with their best-ever medal tally. This will be the 17th edition of the Paralympics and India have taken part in 12 editions so far, bringing medals in just six of them. The 84-member contingent (52 men and 32 women) sent by India to the French capital is the largest ever in the history of the Games. India last sent 54 athletes to the Tokyo Paralympics out of which only 14 were women athletes.

Looking back in history, out of several medal winners of India at the Paralympics, five have won more than one medal.
