New Delhi: As India extended its medal tally to 21 at the Paris Paralympics 2024, PM Narendra Modi praised para athlete Sachin Khilari on bagging a silver medal in the Men’s Shotput F46 event. PM Modi, who earlier dialed India’s medal-winning athletes, took to social media site X to laud the terrific performance of the athlete.
PM Modi in his post said that it was a remarkable achievement which is a pure display of strength and determination. The entire country is proud of him.

Khilari wins medal with record distance
Khilari clinched the medal with an Asian record distance of 16.32m as the country’s track and field athletes continued to impress with their unprecedented medal run. The 34-year-old para athlete got to his best throw of the day in his second attempt to better his own Asian record record of 16.30m, which he had set in May this year while winning the elusive gold at the World Para-Athletics Championships in Japan.
