New Delhi: In a bid to boost connectivity between key cities of Uttar Pradesh, the Indian Railways is set to launch a new pair of Vande Bharat Express trains between Agra Cantt and Varanasi. The train will cover a 573 km distance between the city of the Taj Mahal and the city which is called the seat of Lord Shiva.
The new train is expected to run at an average speed of over 81 km per hour. The train is expected to cross Prayagraj during its journey which will offer added connectivity to another holy city for UP citizens.

Agra Cantt Varanasi Vande Bharat Express train timings
The Agra Cantt-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express is expected to start from Agra at 6 am. The train will complete the 573 km route via Prayagraj to reach Varanasi in 7 hours at 1 pm. On the return journey, the Vande Bharat Express will start from Varanasi at 3.@0 pm, reach Prayagraj at 4:50 pm and conclude its journey by reaching Agra at 10:20 pm the same day.
The Agra Cantt-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express will run 6 days a week, except on Friday. To be sure, the official train schedule is awaited.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Jamshedpur-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express via video conferencing on September 15, 2024. He is expected to flag off 3 more Vande Bharat Express trains on September 15, 2024, from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Ahead of the state Assembly polls in Jharkhadn, the PM is expected to launch Vande Bharat Express trains on the Jamshedpur-Puri route. Trial runs of the train sets may start sooin, with coaches already having arrived in Jhakhand’s Chakradharpur.
