A sensational case has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow. Three youths conspired and killed a delivery boy who had come to deliver mobiles in Chinhat, Lucknow.
After strangulating him, they looted two mobiles (total worth one lakh rupees) and about 35 thousand rupees.
Then they put his body in the delivery boy’s bag and went to Barabanki’s Mati area and threw it in Indira Canal.
Police have arrested two accused Himanshu Kanaujia and Akash. Three teams have been deployed to search for the third accused Gajanan. The SDRF team is trying to recover the body.
Bharat Kumar Prajapati (32), originally a resident of Jamo in Amethi, lived with his wife Akhilesh Kumari in Savita Vihar on Satrikh Road in Chinhat area. He was a delivery boy at Insta Card Pvt. Ltd. Company.
The afternoon of September 24, Bharat left the office to deliver goods to 49 customers. When he did not return till late night, hub in-charge Adarsh Koshta informed his family and lodged a missing person report at the Chinhat police station.
According to the police, the crime was committed in a house near Baba Hospital on Deva Road. Investigation revealed that Himanshu Kanaujia had ordered both the mobiles from his phone.
On the afternoon of 24th September, when Bharat called, he made him talk to Gajanan on conferencing. Gajanan said that he would receive the mobiles.
When Bharat reached with the mobiles in the afternoon, Gajanan along with Akash dragged him inside the house.
Then they killed him and looted the mobile and money. The police suspect that the accused cut Bharat’s body into pieces and then threw it in the canal.
Some such information has come to light, which has raised the suspicion that whether the body was cut into pieces and filled in a bag?
After registering the missing report,
the police got the location and call details of Bharat’s mobile number. The last location was found near the house of the accused. The last call from Bharat’s number was made to Himanshu and then to Gajanan’s number, so the police got their details too.
This revealed that the location of both of them that evening was near the canal in Mati. The CCTV footage also made it clear that Bharat went inside Gajanan’s house, but did not come out.
The accused were seen leaving with his bag in the car, which confirmed the police’s suspicion. When the accused were picked up and strictly interrogated, the truth was revealed.
DCP East Shashank Singh said that the SDRF team will search for the body in the canal on Tuesday as well.

Father told that Gajanan has previously worked with Bharat in his company. In such a situation, the police is also investigating whether there is some other reason for the murder? So far, the matter of mobile and cash robbery has come to light.
