Chennai: The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR& CE) Department of the Tamil Nadu government which governs the Hindu temples in the state has offered free spiritual tours to senior citizens. In an announcement in related to this, the HR & CE department said as many as 1,000 senior citizens will be taken on a spiritual journey free of charge to the famous Amman temples in the Tamil month of Adi (July 17 t0 Augest 16) with Chennai, Thanjavur, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai and Tirunelveli zones as headquarters.
How to apply for free bus tour to Amman temples?
The spiritual pilgrimage to Amman shrines in the Aadi month will start in four phases i.e. 19.07.2024, 26.07.2024, 02.08.2024, 09.08.2024 in respective mandals. Senior citizens who wish to participate in this spiritual journey should be Hindus and be between the ages of 60 and 70 years. Applications for this can be downloaded from the website of the Hindu Religious Endowment Department at www.hrce.tn.gov.in or collected in person at the concerned Zonal Joint Commissioner’s office.
