New Delhi: The two-day mega auction for the much-awaited Indian Premier League 2025 culminated in Jeddah on Monday. All the ten franchises got an opportunity to complete their squads by adding the right and necessary depth to it. One of the most successful teams in the cash-rich league, Mumbai Indians, signed up veteran Kiwi pacer Trent Boult for a whopping price of Rs 12.5 crore.
The bold move taken by Mumbai adds quality to the team as Boult will join hands with pacer spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and together both form a formidable bowling pair for the franchise which aims at making a mark again in this season. Boult is an exceptional addition to the team and with kind of pace and wicket-taking quality the fast bowler possesses, Mumbai are feeling totally blessed. After retaining their top 5 players before the auction, Mumbai had to strengthen their bowling which they did by acquiring the services of the ace Black Caps bowler.
