New Delhi: India’s first Vande Bharat Metro train is all set to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 16, 2024. The Vande Bharat Metro train will run between Ahmedabad and Bhuj. The new state of the art metro service will come as a boon for thousands of passengers who frequently travel between these two places. Notably, this is the first metro service on the Indian Railways network.
Vande Bharat Metro ticket price
Minimum chargeable fare shall be Rs 30 inclusive of GST.
Season tickets: Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly season tickets will be charged equivalent to 7, 15 and 20 single journeys of Vande Bharat metro respectively.
Other charges: All other miscellaneous charges including GST as applicable shall be levied separately.
Other conditions:
The chargeable fare shall be rounded off to the next higher multiple of Rs 5.
Normal child fare rules shall be applicable.
Time limit for cancellation of tickets and applicability of clerkage charge @ Rs 60 on cancellation of tickets shall be as per rule no. 4 and 5 of Railway passengers (cancellation of tickets and refund of fare) Rule 2015. Additionally GST @ 5% on clerkage charge shall also
be applicable as per existing principles.
Concessional tickets, tickets against free complimentary passes which are not reimbursed shall not be admissible in this train.
Vande Metro Train route
The country’s first Vande Metro train will begin its journey from Bhuj at 5:05 am and arrive in Ahmedabad at 10:50 am. During its return journey, the train will depart from Ahmedabad at 5:30 pm and reach its Bhuj at 11:10 pm.
The Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande Bharat Metro will halt for 2 minutes at 9 stations. The entire journey will be undertaken in approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes. The train will stop at following stations – Anjar, Gandhiram, Bhachau, Samakhiali, Halvad, Dhrangadhra, Viramgam, Chandlodiya, and Sabarmati.
