New Delhi: UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus Du Plessis showed an immense performane against Sean Strickand at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on February 9, Sunday. The South African successfully defended his title against Strickland and he also broke Strickland’s nose during the fight.
After winning the winning, Du Plessis gave a post match interview to Daniel Cormier and called out the Light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. Pereira was sitting in the arena with Israel Adesanya and his coach and watched every main card fight of UFC 312 event.
Cormier didn’t resist himself as, after the post-interview, DC went to Periera at cage-side to grab his quick reaction after Du Plessis’ call out at UFC 312.
“Dricus du Plessis is the man. In the Octagon, he called out Pereira,” Cormier said on his YouTube channel.
Pereira replied the Cormeir question and labelled him as small fighter. Pereira stated ‘he is just too small’.
Pereira is currently fighting in the light heavyweight division and Du Plessis is fighting in one division below compared to him. It will not be easy for Du Plessis to become double champion in the UFC as Pereira is currently dominating the light heavyweight division.
Dricus Du Plessis predicts Sean Strickland’s next opponent
The Middleweight champion made some hard remarks as he called out Alex Pereira and then predicted Sean Strickland’s next opponent. Du Plessis thinks Strickland will run back to Israel Adesanya for his next bout in the UFC.
Strickland made a massive upset by defeating Adesanya and became the Middleweight champion. After the win, Strickland lost to Du Plessis and Du Plessis successfully defended his title against Adesnaya.
Now South African thinks this will be right time to both fighters to run it back in the octagon. It will be interesting to watch Strickland vs Adesanya fight in the UFC again.
