New Delhi: Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has gifted a brand new bike to father Khanchandra Singh in the middle of the reports of his engagement. The player, who hails from Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh, has gifted a Kawasi Ninja 300 bike to his father.
Designed in light green colour, Rinku’s father is seen enjoying a ride with their new vehicle on the streets. The vehicle was also laced with a garland, a traditional ritual seen in India where people put a garland on a new vehicle and also worship it before using it for the first ride.
In a video shared on the Instagram handle by the name of ‘Sonu Lefti’, Rinku’s father can be seen taking a few rounds in one of the bylanes of their home town. ‘Rinku gifted a dream super bike to his father’ was the caption of the post. The Indian international cricketer also shared the same post on his Instagram story on Sunday night.
Rinku’s father was a LPG cylinder distributor in Aligarh to different homes while his elder brother used to drive auto-rickshaw. There are stories reported that Rinku’s father would beat him for not pursuing studies and pursue cricket as a game. However, times changed when the son reached the big heights in IPL and Indian national cricket team.

There have been multiple news reports on the 27-year-old cricketer Rinku Singh having engaged to Lok Sabha MP Priya Saroj. Although the father of Priyah, Toofan Saroj, has agreed of the wedding being finalised, he denied of any engagement ceremony being held, as reported by The Indian Express.
Rinku Singh has been part of India squad for the five-match T20I series against England, starting on January 22 in Kolkata. He has played 30 T20 Internationals till date with 893 runs have been scored at a strike rate of 143.34.
