Telugu film actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Konidela Pawan Kalyan and Minister of Cinematography Kandula Durgesh met Telugu film producers at the camp office in Vijayawada on Monday.
It is reported that the issues of the film industry, the possibilities of expansion of the film industry in the state were discussed.
Producers Allu Aravind, Ashwani Dutt, D. Suresh Babu, AM Ratnam, S. Radhakrishna, Dil Raju, NV Prasad, Bhogapalli Prasad, DVV Danayya, Supriya Yarlagadda, Banni Vasu, Nagavanshi, Vamsi Krishna, Ravi Shankar, Naveen Yarneni and others were present at the meeting.
Speaking to the media after the meeting with Pawan, Allu Arvind said, “We have congratulated Deputy CM Pawan on behalf of the film industry and talked for a while. We asked Pawan to facilitate an appointment with CM Chandrababu Naidu. The industry has many problems. The increase in movie ticket rates is a very small matter for us. When we meet the CM, we will convey our problems in the form of representation,” he said.
Prior to taking the plunge into politics and establishing Janasena, Pawan Kalyan has had an illustrious career in the Telugu film industry for over 20 years with many blockbusters.
Janasena in alliance with TDP and BJP won 164 Assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha seats to form the government in Andhra Pradesh. Kalyan has taken charge as the Deputy CM and Minister of Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Environment, Forest, Science and Technology.
