Former YSRCP MLA from Kodumuru constituency, Jaradoddi Sudhakar, was arrested by police on Thursday for reportedly sexually abusing a minor girl for the last three years, Tv9 telugu reported.
The minor girl and her parents filed a complaint at Kurnool two town police station, after which the police registered a case and arrested the former MLA from his residence.
In her complaint, the girl said, “My parents worked at MLA Sudhakar’s house. I used to accompany them to work every day and he used to sexually harass me. When his wife was not at home, he used to torture me mentally and physically and show obscene pictures to me. One day I secretly recorded the harassment on my cell phone with the intention of revealing his true nature but I was too scared to put it out.”
She further stated in the complaint that the former lawmaker sexually harassed her for almost three years till last November.
He was arrested under Section 6 r/w 5(L) of the POCSO Act along with Section 376 of the BNS and was sent to 14-day judicial custody to the district jail.
The victim was shifted to the Kurnool Government Hospital to undergo medical tests.

A video of the abuse went viral two months ago but no details of the case were available and the victim did not come forward to file a complaint. It is reported that at that time, he threatened the victim and her parents to not speak about the issue and prevented the matter from coming out.
