New Delhi: India’s rising MMA star Anshul Jubli is all set to make his mark in the UFC octagon against Quillan Salkilld at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on Sunday, February 9. The fight is included in the early preliminary fight card.
Jubli is coming off a loss against Mike Breeden at UFC 294 in 2023, and after 470 days, Jubli will be returning to the UFC. Salkilld will make his debut in the UFC against Jubli at UFC 312.
Jubli suffered a knee injury after his loss against Breeden and opted out of the action. Now Jubli believes he will outperform Sailkild because of his perfect training camp.
The 28-year-old fighter won the ‘Road to UFC’ tournament and earned his UFC contract by Dana White. Jubli’s striking gives him an edge against all opponents but he has to work on his durability to fight all three rounds.
Salkilld will be fighting in front of his home crowd and will look to start his UFC career on a high note. His grappling skills make him a tough opponent for Jubli.
The UFC 312 event will be headlined by the UFC Middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis. He will be defending his title against Sean Strickland.
