Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was accompanied by his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari, their son Nara Lokesh, daughter-in-law Nara Brahmini, grandson Devansh for a visit to Tirumala Tirupati temple on Thursday and offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara.
TTD JEO Veerabhramam and other temple authorities gave him a warm welcome and made arrangements for darshan. TDP workers and leaders gathered in large numbers at Vaikuntham complex to get a glimpse of the CM.
Subsequently, the priests performed special pujas for the family members at the shrine and later, a portrait of the lord was presented to the family.
Speaking to the media after the darshan in Tirumala, he said, “Before starting anything, I always offer prayers to Venkateswara Swamy. He is the one who helped me stay alive.”
Chandrababu Naidu to take charge as CM today:
He will take up responsibilities as CM at the Secretariat in Guntur district at 4.41 pm in the evening and is expected to sign files to implement the five promises made in the TDP manifesto during the election campaign. These five files are related to Mega DSC notification, abolition of AP Land Titling Act, increasing pensions, conducting skill census in the state, reopening of Anna canteens.
On Wednesday, Naidu met TDP MLAs and ministers at his residence in Undavali, Vijayawada after the oath ceremony. He also briefed the ministers about the governance model to be followed over the next five years and said that ministers must work for development and welfare of the people of the state. Portfolios for ministers will be allocated on June 13, Thursday.
