New Delhi: The last Saturday before ITR filing 2024 deadline, July 27, 2024, also makes for the last Saturday of the month of July. According to RBI rules, banks are closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of a month. Since July 27, 2024, is the last Saturday of the month, banks will remain closed. This is likely to hamper any plans that taxpayers may have related to ITR filing.
If you are planning to secure Form 16A or interest certificates, this may not be possible on Saturday, July 27, 2024. However, you can download the account statement online via netbanking. Tax payments can be made on Saturday using RTGS and NEFT.
