Bank Holidays in November 2024: Check the RBI list

New Delhi: It is the common people who most frequently go to the banks and that is why, they should know any changes to the schedule of the banks. If someone is looking to go to the bank, he or she can set the appointments according to the schedule of the financial institutions.

There is a holiday schedule formed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to which every bank in India has to adhere. For the common people, it is important to know about the bank holidays so that they can plan their visit to the financial institution accordingly. Here, it must be noted that every month, the second Saturday and the fourth Saturday along with the Sundays are holidays for the banks according to the RBI guidelines.

Saturdays and Sundays in November 2024

As has been mentioned already, the second Saturday and the fourth Saturday along with the Sundays are holidays every month in the banks. Bank remained closed on the second Saturday which was November 9 and will remain closed on the fourth Saturday which is November 23. The bank remained closed on November 3 and will remain closed on November 10, 17 and 24 which are all Sundays.

According to the website of the RBI, banks has been/will remain closed on the following days:

Diwali Amavasya (Laxmi Pujan)/Deepawali/Kut/Kannada Rajyothsava/Govardhan Pooja which were on November 1.
Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/Balipadyami/Laxmi Puja (Deepawali)/Govardhan Pooja/Vikram Samvant New Year Day which was on November 2.
Chhath (Evening Arghya) which was on November 7.
Chhath (Morning Arghya)/Wangala Festival which was on November 8.
Egaas-Bagwaal/Nongkrem Dance which are on November 12.
Guru Nanak Jayanti/Karthika Purnima/Rahas Purnima which is on November 15.
Kanakadasa Jayanti which is on November 18.
Seng Kutsnem which is on November 23.

On November 15, banks will remain closed in some states on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti/Karthika Purnima/Rahas Purnima including in Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Telangana. On November 18 in Karnataka, banks will remain closed for Kanakadasa Jayanti and on November 23, banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on the occasion of Seng Kutsnem.
