New Delhi: Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was honoured with the C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in Mumbai on Saturday, February 1. The legendary batter has played cricket for over two decades and is considered the greatest batter of all time. Tendulkar has amassed the most runs in international cricket, scoring 34,357 runs in 664 matches across all formats.
He has hit 100 centuries and 154 fifties in his illustrious career. Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was also honoured with BCCI’s Special Award for his outstanding career. He announced his retirement from international cricket in December 2024 during the Australia tour.

Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah and opener Smriti Mandhana won the award for Best International Cricketer of the year 2023-24 in their respective categories. Bumrah took 71 wickets in 13 Test matches and also played an important role during India’s 2024 T20 World Cup campaign while Mandhana scored 743 runs at an average of 57.86, including four ODI centuries which is a record in women’s cricket.
Sarfaraz Khan has won the award for the Best International Debut in men’s category for his brilliant fifty against England in the Rajkot Test in February 2024 while Asha Sobhana awarded with the Best International Debut in the women’s category. She picked up four wickets against South Africa and helped India to win the match by 143 runs in June 2024.
Tanush Kotian won the award for the best all-rounder in the Ranji Trophy. He scored 502 runs in 10 matches at an average of 41.83, including one century and five fifties and also picked up 29 wickets. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) was honoured with the ‘Best Performance in the Domestic Tournaments’ at the BCCI Awards. Mumbai won the Ranji Trophy, Senior Women’s T20 Trophy and Vijay Merchant Trophy in the 2023-2024 season.
