New Delhi: Rishabh Pant failed miserably in the second innings of the Perth Test match. Early in his innings, he was trapped behind the wickets while trying to play an aerial shot. Pant scored just 1 run, and it was the sixth time Nathan Lyon had dismissed him out of seven Test matches they have played against each other.
India were in a commanding position at the Lunch of day 3 of the match but after lunch, Devdutt Padikkal got out on the first ball. Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal made a handy partnership but Jaiswal missed his double century by playing a loose shot against Mitch Marsh.
Pant came at number 5 and was looking to dominate the Australian bowlers from his very first ball. Marsh bowled a no-ball and Pant charged him on the first ball of his innings but missed the ball.

Lyon bowled outside off stumps and Pant tried to charge down and threw his bat away but Lyon smartly bowled widely and Pant couldn’t reach it and also lost his balance. Alex Carey caught the ball easily and stumped the Indian wicketkeeper easily.
Pant just faced four balls in India’s second innings. After Pant’s dismissal, Dhruv Jurel was also dismissed early on against Pat Cummins. He also made only 1 run and was trapped in front of stumps.
India take 400 runs lead in third innings
India batters are commanding in the third innings of the Test match as they touched the 400+ lead. Virat Kohli and Washington Sundar are currently on the crease and will look to go to the Tea break without getting out. The Aussies bowlers are looking desperate to take wickets and also feeling the heat as they bowled over 100 overs in the third inning of the Test match. Kohli is close to his half-century and looking solid with the bat.
