New Delhi: Indian Railways train cancellations were announced by the Northeast Railways in an official announcement on Tuesday in an order that will stop 24 long-distance trains. The trains will be stopped starting from the end of July 2024 until early August 2024.
Why is Northeast Railways stopping trains from July end
The Northeast Railways cited infrastructure upgradation work being undertaken on major routes in Uttar Pradesh as the reason behind the train halts. The Indian Railways is doubling tracks on the Shahjahanpur-Lucknow route as well as the Roza-Sitapur route. The Indian Railways will have to halt 12 trains and several others to accommodate the track upgradation work.
