New Delhi: Tata Group-owned air carrier Air India has announced additional flights to Kolkata from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad anticipating greater travel demand for Durga Puja season.
While the airline has already ramped up flights from Delhi to Kolkata effective August 15, 2024, the frequency of Mumbai to Kolkata flights will rise from September 25, 2024. Delhi Kolkata flight frequency will rise to 35X per week from 28X at present. Mumbai to Kolkata weekly flight frequency will also rise to 28X from 21X at present.
From September 20, 2024, the airline aims to increase the frequency of flights to Kolkata from Bengaluru and Hyderabad, according to an official statement. The plan is to schedule additional flights at a time which allows for connecting flights from hubs in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru for destinations in:
